About Us

Women’s International Inclusion Network (WIIN) was founded in 2019 by young women who are committed to contributing to the empowerment of women and girls, whose security, health and welfare are disproportionately affected by poverty.

The WIIN Model was inspired by an existing technique to combat poverty, called the “self-help group” (SHG) approach. Founders learned about the success and sustainability of the practice while working with the Consortium of Self-Help Approach Promoters (COSAP) in Ethiopia. The SHG approach a fosters a unique synergy amongst women by promoting cooperative savings, financial literacy and community engagement.

The WIIN Model combines the SHG approach with skill based-learning, leadership development, entrepreneurship and technology to affect sustainable change within communities.
